Sign up to accelerate ESG data access and interoperability

There are more than 5.9 million Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the UK, accounting for an estimated £2.3 trillion in turnover. However, there is not yet a standard for SMEs to follow when reporting greenhouse gas emissions.

Bankers for Net Zero (B4NZ) and Icebreaker One is launching a Steering Group running from January 2023 to inform the development of an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data ecosystem which accelerates the transition to net zero.

About the Steering Group

The Bankers for Net Zero Steering Group convenes and combines individual expertise to help understand how the UK may better modernise ESG data access. The aim is to facilitate an open system to gather ESG data and measure greenhouse gases for SMEs to accelerate our transition to net zero. The Steering Group will be Co-Chaired by Icebreaker One, and participants include representatives from government, regulator, consumer bodies, and trade associations. We are currently accepting applications to join the Steering Group.
