Using network innovation and meteorology to build for sustainability

NIMBUS, a partnership with SSEN Transmission, SSEN Distribution and Icebreaker One is an ambitious project with the potential to accelerate the transition to net-zero by prolonging the life of assets, improving their reliability and management through the introduction of new, granular data sources and improvements to network asset design, investment and operations.

Rapid Evaluation Areal Connection Tool (REACT)

Icebreaker One, in collaboration with SSEN TransmissionOlsights, MapStandNational Grid Electricity Transmission and SGN, created the Rapid Evaluation Areal Connection Tool (REACT) to provide users the ability to view electricity grid requests in real-time, using an interactive visualisation map.

Open Energy

Open Energy operates a system of five data sensitivity classes, graded across three dimensions of sensitivity: personal, commercial, and security. Google Doc report

This covers determining what types of conditions may be specified for Data Consumers to meet in order to gain access to datasets in different sensitivity classes. Google Doc report
