In October, we convened the Perseus Engagement & Communications Advisory Group, co-chaired by Tide and Icebreaker One.

Meeting aims:
- Update members on progress
- Review and agree communications plan
- Review risk register
Summary:
- The communications plan was reviewed and agreed by members
- Members were asked for their thoughts on:
- Changes required to the communications plan
- What each organisation can contribute to the execution of the plan
- Members agreed to provide support across the communications plan:
- In the form of blog posts and social media pushes, with a focus on parliamentary pushes
- By using their connections to increase the diversity of engagement
- It was noted that the requirements and inputs from AG1-3 have been consolidated to understand what is in scope for the pilot communications
- It was noted that the purpose of this round of communications is to:
- Get more businesses involved in the development of the process
- Get government and regulators to trust and endorse this as a development process
- Key points of the communications plan were discussed:
- There will be a parliamentary event in December to present Perseus to parliamentarians through the lens of ‘What will it take to get SMEs to decarbonise’?
- There will be the report launch in mid-December to highlight the technical progress that Perseus has made and the legal, technical and security credibility of the project
- The risks associated with taking the pilot to market were discussed and members agreed the updated risk register
- It was noted that comms teams should be included in the process of Perseus communications going out, where branding and name are included
